Welcome to Religion
Coordinator of Religious Education/Campus Ministry
This is my first year in a brand new role here at Catholic East Elementary. I come with 2 years as a Lead Child Care Teacher at La Casa de Esperanza in Waukesha Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree at Saint Norbert College where I majored in History, minored in Religious Studies and received my certification in Secondary Education.
I was born and raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I have 4 sisters, two are older and two are younger, making me the exact middle. Growing up in a family of five girls was chaotic but a lot of fun and my family means the world to me. I married my husband in August 2010 and we spend our time with our family helping anyone who needs something.
I enjoy spending a lot of time with my family and try to keep in close contact with all of my sisters. I really like to read books and am not picky as to what type of book I read. I enjoy everything from a classic book to romantic dramas, but my favorite is Science Fiction.
I believe that God has a reason for having me go through all the experiences that I have had and hope to bring all that knowledge to the classroom. I want to introduce new and fun aspects of religion to the students so they too can feel the power of belief and reflection. I personally went to catholic schools from 5th grade on (St. Mary’s Waukesha, St. Joes Waukesha, Catholic Memorial High School, and St. Norbert College) and knew from the beginning that I wanted to teach in a place that I can share my faith and community spirit. Every day is an exciting day for a teacher because we get to see each scholar grow in a million different ways.
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher because I never wanted to have to say I am going to work. Instead, I always say I am going to school!
