Weekly Update 9/28

In ELA we wrapped up the First 20 Days and are well prepared to start our first novel based unit on Monday. We are starting off the year with Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson: Lightening Thief. There will be a parent letter going home on Monday letting you know what we will be covering in this unit so stay tuned for that!

In Social Studies we learned about the Ice Age and the effects it had here in Wisconsin. We talked about the many land forms and features found here and why they are special. Next week we will be jumping into our first big project of the year!

In Religion the scholars have continued to learn about the Catholic Social Teaching Principles and will be wrapping up our unit next week.

In Science, we have been learning about physical and behavioral adaptations. We are getting close to wrapping up our Life Science unit which will end with a final project. More info about that will take place next week!

In Math, scholars have been reviewing everything they have learned about place value and rounding in preparation for their quiz on Monday!

**Parents please check Powerschool to ensure that your scholar has been turning in their work. Several scholars are missing reading logs and spelling homework. I will accept late work until Monday Oct. 8. After Oct. 8 whatever is not turned in cannot be made up.**
