My name is Ashley Mueller (pronounced miller) and I am joining Catholic East on Monday, February 28, as the K3 teacher. I am coming to Catholic East with more than 12 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. I attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and University of Wisconsin Platteville. When I was in college, I participated in an internship at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It was as a cast member making “magical moments” for the youngest guests that I realized I wanted to work with children. I started out as a 2-year-old teacher in 2010. I then transitioned into K3 and K4 classrooms in Community Approach learning through Muskego-Norway School District.
In 2015, I moved into the Center Director role after earning my Credential for Early Childhood Administration with Kids Kampus of Muskego and Kids Kampus of Muskego 2 Learning Center. In this role I maintained quality care and early education for both of our Muskego centers. In 2017, I transitioned into a new NAEYC accredited Center Director role with KinderCare Education in Madison and Brookfield.
As your child’s teacher, I will create an inclusive, welcoming and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. I believe it is important to meet each child where they are and cater my approach to each individual learner. It is important to me that the students in my class build confidence for life. Our classroom will be a place where students will have the opportunity to grow intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. As your child’s teacher, I believe that education is a collaborative effort between the family and the educator and, by working together, we can help students to have a lifelong love of learning.
A little bit more about me: I married my husband Michael in 2019 and we have two adorable little beagles. My husband and I are expecting our first child later in 2022 and we are over the moon excited to be parents. In my free time I love to read, swim, jog with my dogs, and dance. My husband and I absolutely love heading out onto the local lakes in the summer time with family and friends.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your little ones over the coming weeks. I want to maintain an open-door policy when it comes to the classroom and your child’s education. If, at any time, you would like to talk either in person or virtually, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
