There are so many things and people to be thankful for!
We were able to be with our buddies this past Monday. Tracing each other's hands to create turkeys, we discussed what we were truly grateful for. Our scholars were kind and encouraging to their K-4 buddies. The ideas shared were wonderful.
We were able to begin our intitial instructions with the individualized i-ready math program.
Many of us brought or had our head phones here at school. There are some of us who still need to bring them to school. Others of us discovered that the head phones we have do not work with the chrome books we will be working with for individualized reading and math programs, so check with your son or daughter as to if that is the case. After Thanksgiving break, we will resume training for wither Newsela or RAZ kids. It will be important for us to have our head phones readily available.
Returning to the classroom over the break, I discovered many books from the book fair that families generously donated to our classroom library! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! I am both humbled and excited for the scholars who donated them to be the first to choose: will they be the first to read the book from the library before they recommend it to another scholar, or will they choose another scholar to be the very first person to read the book?! Decisions, decisions! A marvelous "problem" to have!
May this Thanksgiving break bring rest, relaxation and the blessing of family and friends.
I look forward to gathering together to hear how everyone's break went!
