We had a very fast-paced week!
Our class began a "quick write" on "Things That Drive Us Batty", we drew a close to the fiction/nonfiction unit in reading, and we focused on mental computation strategies.
Wednesday we had two police officers visit our school to talk about bullying. We were reminded of the importance to tell a trusted adult when you have done what you can and need extra help to deal with this type of situation.
After this visit, we had Ms. Johnson from SHARP Literacy visit us to introduce our project for the year: urban agriculture! We had a fun presentaiton learning vocabulary words we will use through out the year. The text we will be using is entitled There Grows the Neighborhood.
